TRADITIONAL FOOD IN A MODERN AND COMFY SPOT
QUINQUÉ is one of those restaurants that will leave you willing for more. Their menu is quite small, but have enough references to make it not possible to ask for all the ones you’d like to. Traditiotal recipes amazingly cooked, followed but an also great service and price. These facts make it a restaurant to be always on the look.
Spanish Croquettes, Spanish Omelette with Hake and their Cheesecake are the HITS that you won’t stop seeing going back and forth to all the tables and that everyone who comes here should have. My suggestion is to go with a group of people big enough to share different things. Go and tell me after what I cannot miss on my next visit, as it is based on seasonal products, it is warranted that menu will be different next time.
COCINA TRADICIONAL CON MUCHO QUE OFRECER
QUINQUÉ es uno de esos sitios que te van a dejar con muchas ganas de volver. Su carta no es muy extensa, pero lo suficiente como para no poder probar todo lo que te llama la atención de primeras. Sus recetas tradicionales ejecutadas a la perfección enamoran a cualquiera, y el servicio y el precio acompañan en todo momento la satisfacción que nos transmite desde el principio.
Las croquetas, la tortilla de merluza y su tarta de queso son los platos estrella que verás desfilar hacia todas las mesas y que no debería perderse nadie que vaya a probar este restaurante. Mi recomendación es la de ir con un grupo lo suficientemente grande como para poder pedir cosas al centro y probar el mayor número de cosas. Id y me contáis que no debería perderme yo para la próxima, como su carta está basada en productos de temporada, seguro que va a tener platos distintos.

We started with some appetizers and some Majorcan spicy chorizo paste with toast bread, which is like a buttery heaven for chorizo lovers. How hard it is to find! Following, some Seasonal Tomatoes and Cod Salad, fresh and perfect for the summer.
Empezamos con unos aperitivos y Sobrasada con pan tostado, una adicción que está buenísima y es muy difícil de encontrar (de calidad) fuera de las islas. Seguimos con Ensalada de tomates de temporada y bacalao, fresquito y perfecto para esta temporada.

The Thin Crispy Shrimps are something special and delicious, crunchy and perfect to share. I would also recommend this for everyone.
I didn’t like so much the Tomato and peppers sauce with Eggs as Im not a big fan of this classic dish. It is not bad, only not of my preferences.
Las gambas cristal son algo muy especial. Crujjientes y ricas, perfectas para compartir. Algo que recomendaría siempre.
No soy gran fan del Pisto, por lo que este plato no me mató, pero a mis compañeros se les veía encantados.

Here comes my favorite part of the meal. Some amazingly creamy and thin crispy Spanish Croquettes, so addictive it is hard to have only one. After that, the Spanish Omelette with Hake, a bit yolky just as I like but with the fish flavory touch which makes it unique. Very very good.
Aquí viene mi parte favorita de toda la cena. Croquetas de jamón, muy cremosas y con un rebozado fino, tan adictivas que lo difícil es poder comerse solo una. A continuación, Tortilla de patatas con merluza, poco hecha, justo como me gusta y con un toque a pescado que le da un sabor único. Muy muy bueno.

To finish up, little Chicken stewed with potatoes and french onions. Is something I’m increasingly seeing in all restaurants, recapturing what our grandmas cooked at home and was not so easy to find when eating out. This time was tender and with a meaty flavor sauce.
Para terminar, un plato que no solía encontrarse fácil en restaurantes pero que poco a poco se está volviendo a poner de moda, recordando a la cocina tradicional que solían cocinar las abuelas: Coquelet guisado con patatas y cebolla francesa, acompañado de un poco de romero y una salsa con la que es imposible resistirse para mojar pan.
最后，用土豆和法式洋葱炖小鸡。在所有的餐馆里，我都越来越多地看到这样的事情，我们的祖父在家里做了什么，在外面吃饭时不容易找到。这一次很嫩，有一种肉味的酱汁。
What an amazing delicacy is the Cheesecake of this spot! One of those that would appear in routes and cheesecake-lovers lists. I also have one of these lists, and this could easily jump on the top, I couldn’t pass through without having the desire to stop and have a piece, it is really tasty and worth giving a try.
La tarta de queso del final es un espectáculo de los buenos, de esas que entran en manuales y están en las listas de las mejores. Yo también tengo mi lista, y la de Quinqué puede fácilmente entrar en el top. No podría pasar cerca sin querer pararme a comer un trozo de lo buenísima que está.
